Roulette is French!
We have the French to thank for the invention of roulette. Even the word 'roulette' is French. The French use the same roulette wheel as the Europeans with 37 different spaces. Likewise, all the basic bets that the European roulette allows are also available in the French Roulette version. The roulette table is colored red but that is only a graphical difference with no playing significance. Since the original roulette was designed by the French and since no one has yet come up with anything better, there is really nothing like playing the original game as it was designed to be played.
Playing French Roulette
The main difference in French roulette is that the game is played in French. There are also all sorts of combinations each of which has a name of its own. These combinations all have various French names and the French roulette player should familiarize himself with these names in order to fully understand the game. The many different combinations of numbers do not provide any special odds and so the chances of winning are still the same.
